Supplier Diversity Certification Program (SDCP)

Supplier Diversity Certification Program (SDCP) is a financing and loans offered by Invest Nova Scotia for entrepreneurs and small businesses in Atlantic Canada (Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island, and Newfoundland and Labrador).

SDCP provides financial support to diverse-owned Nova Scotia businesses to offset the costs of obtaining supplier diversity certification, reimbursing 100% of the one-time certification fee up to $1,000.

Program details

The program supports diverse-owned businesses (51% owned by 2SLGBTQIA+, Indigenous, Women, Veterans, People living with Disabilities, Black Nova Scotians, African Nova Scotians, and other Racialized People) in obtaining certification through CAMSC, IWSCC, CQCC, WEConnect International Canada, or WBE Canada. This certification can provide access to specific supplier diversity procurement programs within private sector corporations and government departments.

Who qualifies

Must have an approved first-time certification from one of five certifying agencies dated between January 1, 2025 and February 27, 2026. Must be a diverse-owned Nova Scotia registered business in good standing with permanent establishment in Nova Scotia. Must have a product/service with potential to be sold outside Nova Scotia.
