Program details
Volta/CDL Investment Day is a pitch event held at Volta's Halifax location where startups based in Atlantic Canada can pitch to venture capital investors. Pitching companies receive personalized coaching to prepare for investment, pitch their startup to sector-specific funds, and secure 1:1 meetings with potential investors in breakout rooms. Selection criteria include: interest in raising VC capital, based in Atlantic Canada, business model validation, financial projections, MVP or product in market, early adopter users or paying customers, brand building, market traction, a prepared pitch deck and pitch video, and fundraising history details.
Who qualifies
Must be based in Atlantic Canada; actively seeking venture capital funding; have an MVP or product in market; demonstrate business model validation and market traction; have financial projections; have a prepared pitch deck and pitch video; ideally have early adopter users or paying customers.
