Program details
Out East is a virtual-first program powered by the Canadian Gay and Lesbian Chamber of Commerce (CGLCC) that helps racialized 2SLGBTQIA+ founders in Atlantic Canada explore entrepreneurship. The program includes curated curriculum and workshops, 1:1 support and monthly office hours with a dedicated Founder Growth Coach, live online conversations with queer and allied leaders in business, structured accountability to move ideas or products forward, visibility and access through Tribe's national ecosystem, and a tight-knit identity-affirming cohort. Monthly Founder Fundamentals sessions cover topics including Orientation and Entrepreneurial Pathways, Business and Finance, Go-to-market Strategies, The Art of Fundraising, Entrepreneurship Identity and Mental Health, Finding Funding and Hiring Talent, Venture Capital Basics, Entrepreneurial Tax Planning, and The Power of Advisory. No business experience, pitch deck, or registration required to apply.
Who qualifies
Must identify as a racialized and 2SLGBTQIA+ person. Must live in Atlantic Canada (Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Newfoundland & Labrador, or Prince Edward Island). Must be interested in exploring entrepreneurship, whether with an idea, a side hustle, or an existing business. No business experience, pitch deck, or registration required.
