The Springboard Network consists of more than 40 Industry Engagement Professionals (also known as Industry Liaison Officers) embedded across 14 universities and 5 colleges in Atlantic Canada. These professionals serve as a single point of contact for industry to access the research capabilities of the entire Atlantic Canadian post-secondary sector. Services include pairing organizations looking for R&D support with specialized researchers, navigating funding channels, facilitating technology licensing, supporting proof of concept development, and guiding researchers through the commercialization lifecycle from ideation to market. Testimonials describe the network as the 'backbone' of the Atlantic Canada tech ecosystem, providing a single point of contact that amplifies the R&D capacity of the region. The network has contributed to 957 startup spinouts and over 5,925 technology and knowledge transfers.
