Regional IP Counselling is a advisory service offered by Springboard Atlantic for entrepreneurs and small businesses in Atlantic Canada (Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island, and Newfoundland and Labrador).
One-on-one IP counselling provided by dedicated Regional IP Counsellors stationed in each Atlantic province, supporting startups and SMEs with intellectual property guidance.

Program details
Springboard Atlantic employs dedicated Regional IP Counsellors across all four Atlantic provinces as part of the Atlantic IP Advantage Program (AIPA). These counsellors provide one-on-one IP guidance to startups and SMEs in their respective provinces. IP Counsellors include: Shelley Hessian for Nova Scotia (30+ years experience with SMEs, formerly at Invest Nova Scotia/Innovacorp), Libby Carew for Newfoundland & Labrador (formerly with Mitacs, bilingual English/French), and Andre Pelletier for New Brunswick (PhD in Chemical Engineering, multi-industry experience). They help startups navigate IP strategy, connect with IP service providers, and access IP Advantage and IP Assist funding programs.
Who qualifies
Available to startups and SMEs in Atlantic Canada seeking IP guidance. Tied to the Atlantic IP Advantage Program.
