Makers and Movers Training Series

Makers and Movers Training Series is a program offered by Arthur Irving Entrepreneurship Centre for entrepreneurs and small businesses in Atlantic Canada (Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island, and Newfoundland and Labrador).

Student-run workshop series at Saint Mary's University where selected student leaders ('Mavericks') earn $200 for hosting workshops, and attendees gain practical skills, insights, and Co-Curricular Record credits.

Program details

The Makers and Movers Training Series is the first-ever student-run pilot program at Saint Mary's University where students step into the spotlight, develop hands-on skills, and empower peers. Selected Mavericks create and lead workshops on their areas of expertise (entrepreneurship, arts, innovation). Attendees gain practical skills, build their network, and SMU students can receive Co-Curricular Record credits. Sessions run from 4-5 PM on scheduled dates during the fall term.

Who qualifies

Mavericks: must be a current Saint Mary's University student. Attendees: SMU students primarily.
