Business Training Workshops

Business Training Workshops is a program offered by ISANS for entrepreneurs and small businesses in Atlantic Canada (Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island, and Newfoundland and Labrador).

Weekly workshops and information sessions to help immigrant entrepreneurs understand local business culture and develop the skills to start, grow and manage a successful business in Nova Scotia.

Program details

ISANS offers business workshops and information sessions delivered weekly, either in person at ISANS or online. Sessions range from one-time sessions to multi-week courses led by ISANS Business Trainers or expert guest speakers from the community. Topics include how to start a business in Nova Scotia, business planning basics, government services, regulations, licenses and permits, financing options and available grants, strategies for business growth, and local business culture.

Who qualifies

Must be a registered ISANS client. Immigration Status: Canadian Citizen Born outside Canada, International Graduate, Permanent Resident, Temporary Foreign Worker.
