Business Acquisition Support is a advisory service offered by ISANS for entrepreneurs and small businesses in Atlantic Canada (Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island, and Newfoundland and Labrador).

Guides immigrants through the process of buying or selling a business in Nova Scotia, with mentorship from industry experts and targeted training on succession planning, valuation, financing, and franchising.

Program details

ISANS Business Acquisition Support Project helps immigrants navigate buying or selling a business or creating a succession plan. Participants receive targeted training on topics such as succession planning, valuation and financing, buyer screening, franchising, closing the sale, and taking over a business. The program also includes mentorship from an industry expert or business owner who has bought or sold a business, one-on-one business counselling with ISANS counsellors, and access to listings of businesses for sale.

Who qualifies

Must be a registered ISANS client. Immigration Status: Canadian Citizen Born outside Canada, International Graduate, Permanent Resident, Pre-Arrival Approved Permanent Resident, Refugee Claimant, Temporary Foreign Worker.
