Volunteer Mentorship Program
Volunteer Mentorship Program is a mentorship program offered by Futurpreneur for entrepreneurs and small businesses in Atlantic Canada (Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island, and Newfoundland and Labrador).
Futurpreneur's volunteer mentor program recruits experienced entrepreneurs (5+ years) and professionals (10+ years) to provide one-on-one mentorship to young entrepreneurs for up to two years, with comprehensive training, onboarding, and ongoing support provided to mentors.

Program details
Futurpreneur recruits and onboards volunteer mentors who commit to a two-year mentoring relationship with a young entrepreneur (ages 18-39). Eligible mentors include experienced entrepreneurs with at least 5 years of entrepreneurial experience or professionals with at least 10 years of experience in launching and leading significant products or services. Mentors must reside in Canada, have knowledge of the Canadian business landscape, have no conflicts of interest with their mentee, and share Futurpreneur's values. Mentors receive comprehensive support including official onboarding with video and training materials, a custom-designed 'Ment2B' mentoring orientation program, regular mentor webinars, a LinkedIn mentor community, active check-ins from the Mentor Support Team, digital 'Staying-on-track & Canvas' tools, and dedicated in-house support. The time commitment is 2-4 hours per month. Futurpreneur has over 2,200 volunteer mentors as of March 31, 2025.
Who qualifies
For experienced entrepreneurs: at least 5 years of entrepreneurial experience, Canadian startup ecosystem knowledge, no conflicts of interest with the mentee, residency in Canada, alignment with Futurpreneur values. For experienced professionals: at least 10 years of experience in launching and leading significant products or services, Canadian business landscape knowledge, no conflicts of interest, residency in Canada, alignment with Futurpreneur values.
