Business Essentials Workshops is a event offered by ConnexionWorks for entrepreneurs and small businesses in Atlantic Canada (Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island, and Newfoundland and Labrador).
Free-of-charge, in-person workshops led by local business experts and ConnexionWorks facilitators, offering entrepreneurs and businesses practical tools for their business development toolkit. Topics include pricing strategies, social media planning, branding, and sales strategies.

Program details
Business Essentials are in-person and free-of-charge workshops offering entrepreneurs and businesses the opportunity to grow their skills. Each session is led by a local business expert or community partner and involves a practical tool for the participant's business development toolkit. Participants can walk away and use the tool they have learned right away, such as creating a media post on Canva, invoicing in QuickBooks, protecting their online identity, and knowledge for accessing capital. The workshops also provide opportunities to connect with other small business owners and like-minded people. The cost is subsidized by the Impact Loan, with support from Envision Saint John: The Regional Growth Agency. Upcoming March 2026 sessions: Pricing Strategies (March 9, 6pm-9pm), Social Media Planning (March 16, 6pm-9pm), How to Create Your Branding (March 23, 6pm-9pm), Strategies for Sales (March 30, 6pm-9pm).
