Business Counselling and Advisory Services is a advisory service offered by Black Business Initiative for entrepreneurs and small businesses in Atlantic Canada (Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island, and Newfoundland and Labrador).

One-on-one business counselling for current and aspiring Black business owners, covering all stages from idea through established business. BBI advisors provide personalized guidance on starting, developing, growing, and expanding a business.

Program details

BBI offers business counselling services where clients are matched with a Business Advisor who provides personalized support. The intake process collects information about business stage (from idea through established business over 2 years), industry, and assistance needed (business advice, funding, networking, or other). Advisors respond within 2-3 business days. Services encompass the full journey from idea validation to scaling an established operation.

Who qualifies

Must self-identify as Black or be a Black business owner/aspiring entrepreneur
